Diablo 2 rollback fixed?

by admin on Mar.26, 2010, under Diablo 2 News

Blizzard seems to have corrected a few minutes before the rollback in Diablo 2. The servers run stable again and there are no degrees available rollbacks more.

Trigger was a public cheat method could be repeated with some fraudsters their rune words (or rune quests) repeatedly until the desired result.

Thank you Blizzard, this time was that reacts so quickly. In the past, the example in Aurenstack-Dupe and co. different. If it still should give something, we of course keep you up to date.

Diablo 3 until 2012?

by admin on Mar.16, 2010, under News Diablo 2 , Diablo 3 News

Blizzard has just announced the patch 1:13 incl Ladder-Reset, but we read something in the Battle.net forum, so the story interesting.

How many of you know, a ladder season usually lasts at least 1 year. could Bashiok expressed now in a proposal to bring a potential Topic Patch 1.14, the additional balance changes.

I think it's widely recognized that some new content for end game is a desired addition. It's not something we could include in this patch for many reasons, but we do have plans to continue full point release patches (ie 1.14). What those could contain is still up in the air, but we have plans. Diabolical Plan! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA (source)

Since there are dealing with major changes, this would not be feasible without the ladder reset. Diablo 3 would be published shortly after a Diablo 2 Patch incl Reset relatively meaningless, so that we would be in a full season already 1:14 on a release date of 03/2012.

The hope remains, of course, that these are two short seasons is to be together no later than age 10 by Lord of Destruction (06/29/2011) ended. More info will probably only give it to BlizzCon, the supposedly * 22 - 23 To be held in October.

*) A webmaster of the Anaheim Convention Center had some time ago a hasty announcement placed online and a little later removed.

Diablo 2 Ladder reset at 23.03.

by admin on Mar.16, 2010, under Diablo 2 News

Patch 1:13 b (or c yet?) Is on its way. Am 23.03. the ladder season restarted and the patch moves from the Public Test Realm Realms of the game.

As always, all your ladder chars to Nonladder-chars. If your group is looking for a reset, so please look in the following topic.

Patchlog from 1.13b to find their details here . Presumably Blizzard will, however, publish the (still secret) c-version, the new items and quests should include perhaps.

Have fun!

We will be resetting the Diablo II ladder on March 23 with the release of patch 1.13. We anticipate all Diablo realms to be down for approximately six hours during the reset II. More specific information on availability realm on the day of the reset will be posted in the Battle.net Status Forum. When the ladder is reset, all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted will no longer have these characters ladder access to content such as creating ladder-only rune words. For more information on ladder characters please visit the Arreat Summit Realm Character Types page at http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/basics/charactertypes.shtml (Source: Battle.net Forum)

Diablo 2 - Drop-Chance of Runes

by admin on Dec.11, 2009, under Diablo 2 News

Already in release note was to be seen that the drop chance runes to improve general.

From the patch files has user "Dazmogan" now read the current values:

  • Zod - x4
  • Jah and Cham - x3
  • Sur & Ber - x2, 3
  • Ohm & Lo - x1, 78
  • Gul & Vex - x1, 45
  • Time is & - x1, 18

Thus, the increased drop chance have a little less dramatic than many expected. A big difference will probably only find the really active players among you who are regular Highrunes.

It remains to be seen whether it really the last Dupe method was corrected by the Realm. Otherwise, a balance would be the rune drops quickly for the birds.

Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 - No big treasure chest

by admin on Nov.19, 2009, under Diablo 2 News

Weeks ago, we expressed concern at Blizzard about the performance problems that might arise from the larger treasure chest. This now seems to have confirmed, for Bashiok announced that it will no longer be part of the new patches.

We've recently completed a revised version of the Diablo II 1:13 patch that removes the increased stash size. A larger stash will unfortunately no longer be a feature included in the patch due to the previously mentioned 1:13 concerns. As higher priority work continues on Warcraft III, we're hoping to complete our quality assurance tests for the 1:13 patch in the next few weeks. But as always, the types of issues that may appear and take higher priority are rarely foreseeable. We continue to plan a release based on our best intentions.

Once again, the Diablo 2 community so be patient because of Warcraft. But what is already half a year late? ;-)

Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 - problems with the 10 * 12 box?

by admin on Oct.01, 2009, under Diablo 2 News

Bashiok commented on Battle.net Forum on progress with the new patch Diablo 2 from 1:13 The plan was a new treasure chest with 10 * 12 fields, which should be among others a main feature of the new patches.

could precisely this case but could now delay the patch, since the Battle.net servers are not designed for the new flood of data (or his). Blizzard wants to test this now, to avoid stability problems.

The Diablo II patch is on temporary hold 1:13 while we investigate potential impact on the Battle.net service. As we moved closer to launching the patch concerns grew that to increase in size stash the player (a feature in the patch) could compromise the Diablo II Battle.net service. The hardware and configuration could not handle the potentially increased stash size gracefully under heavy load. Currently we're investigating potential impact as it is one of the larger content features in the patch and we're hoping it can remain a part of the release. If it does not have to be removed it will require additional time to remove it, generate new patches, and test, which will add time before we can go live on the PTR.

We're hoping to have our diagnostics and a final decision on how we'll be moving forward decided by early next week and we'll have an update for you at that time.

The question remains whether a small hardware upgrade is not better (and perhaps cheaper) would be, as the development of a different patch version.

Also, a lower maximum number of games per server would probably be no problem. Those who have long played Diablo 2 is still able to remember the waiting list (at the player position). This affected only the very fast runs (as they are often carried out by bots), and reduce the already undesirable trade-games a la "Offer X search Y".

So let us press our fingers crossed that Blizzard is not ruined because of additional costs for € 500 new servers all the patch.

Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 - Public Test Realm is now online

by admin on Sep.04, 2009, under Diablo 2 News

Bashiok added in Battle.net Sticky Patch 1:13 to add an update.

Work commences on patch 1.13. We will not be providing any information on when the patch will be available, except that we expect the PTR to be available "soon". We will provide some amount of warning very, very shortly before the PTR become available. Please keep in mind that any number of factors could delay the start of the PTR and ultimate release of the patch. Thanks for being patient, we're getting close now.

Unfortunately Bashiok still want to name an exact date when we can expect with the patch. The PTR (Public Test Realm ") is, however," go soon "online. In addition, it will be VERY shortly before the start, an announcement.

So you should follow closely the next few days the news, if you do not want to miss the start.

We you may already know, we're planning here at Diablo gamers a run on the new Ladder of patch 1.13. Ye can in our new Forum event to connect groups and the high score in the storm. The application finds her here .
