World of Warcraft
Blizzard surprised some places with the colors of the objects in old versions of Diablo III.
Now the design team seems to have agreed on a roughly D2-like system.
- Unique Items (now legendary): Orange
- Rare Items: yellow
- Magic Items: blue
- Runes: purple
- Quest Items: green
Is the color orange possibly an allusion to the Legendary items in World of Warcraft and so an indication of the greater rarity of these "uniques"? It would be desirable, of course, a low drop rate to increase the diversity of equipment, but they were rare items and Crafts far in Diablo 2, the best way to achieve this.
The website Kotaku.com reported some time ago by some Diablo 3 screenshots a warped version.
How this Diablo 3 playable version was, however, unfortunately, is not known. Blizzard was known that they einstampften even nearly finished projects such as Warcraft Adventure "Lord of the Clans" at not fallen in the past.
Developer was known as "Blizzard North", which had to make do without the former inventor of the Diablo series after 2003, however. Since Blizzard North was virtually unemployed from LoD released Patch 1.09 or later than, the development is likely to have already begun at that time.
Blizzard North was founded in 1993 under the name "Condor" by Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer, and David Brevik. 6 months before the release of Diablo 1 Condor was purchased by Blizzard Entertainment and renamed "Blizzard North".
On 30 June 2003 left the key figures in the studio because of various, not precisely named, disagreement with the Vivendi Group. In 2005, the studio was closed entgültig.
Interestingly, it is now why the developers left the studio.
Blizzard North founders were forced into an undesired game concept or the rejection of the project they had already feared in the years 2005 2003, since Blizzard pushed the development of Warcraft continues to advance?
More detailed information is not known. Should you find more sources, they simply posting in the comment section.
Update 1: here an interview with Bill Roper from 2003 (immediately after the exit at Blizzard North).
Time a news away from the Diablo universe.
The latest World of Warcraft Patch 4.0.3a will be available from 11 clock vorraussichtlich tomorrow. With it you can watch the world completely changed by the Cataclysm addon, which appears in about 2 weeks.
Against 3 clock early the servers go offline for maintenance. The plan is to start from 11 with this presumably can also delay a few hours.
So who is still active in WoW, should take a look - even if instances and various add-on features are not yet available.
Blizzard recently announced that in future his first name & last name in plain sight in the new Battle.net account must specify. To this end, also Diablo Community Manager Bashiok decided to write his name in forum.
"Micah Whipple at your service."
He probably had not thought about how quickly the community would come to their personal information including address, telephone number and information about family members. Some sites have the information now removed, but they continue to spread in the network.
So far, it was strictly forbidden in the Battle.net forum to publish personal data of users in any way. Now Blizzard cancels the self-imposed rule and would ascend to the social network. It is also questionable that information from children it can be published. Although there are some functions for parents to prevent this - but what parents care even for the computer games their kids?
Affected are currently only matches in the "Battle.net 2.0" (WoW, Starcraft II and Diablo III) - whether the older games are integrated, is not yet known.
What do you think of Blizzard's plans?

There is news from the already announced more Warcraft movie.
Regieseur Sam Raimi (Army of Darkness, Spiderman 1-3, ...) recently spoke with MTV Multiplayer about his new film. He announced that Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan, The Patriot) to write in collaboration with Chris Metzen the screenplay for the film.
"But we would have our writer, Robert Rodat, really craft an original story within did world that feels like a 'World of WarCraft' adventure. Only obviously it's very different 'cause it's expanded and translated into the world of a motion picture. "
However, the title "The Rise of the Lich King" is still controversial. The movie database imdb.com added the epithet added a few days ago to describe. However it is gone again, which makes further speculation about the story possible. Not least thanks to cult director Sam Raimi, the film should be a must-see in in 2011.

Then the search function on the artwork will hopefully improve. If one looks there, so you have to first by a wealth of WoW after Diablo Pix fight current concepts.
