Starcraft II - Wings of Liberty Info
by admin on Aug.10, 2010, under Starcraft 2
We are sure you know, Blizzard has published on 27.7.2010 Starcraft 2 "Wings of Liberty".
Released the game for Windows and Mac. About console versions are unfortunately not yet available - because Blizzard has, however, been in intensive Gespäche with Microsoft last year [1] and Starcraft 2 perfectly on the Xbox 360 would be playable, a later release is not excluded like the PlayStation version of Diablo.
Starcraft II Battle.net multiplayer only / online forced to install
To install Starcraft 2 you have to connect you with the Battle.net, even if you only want to play the game offline. Your CD Key is so tied to the account. If someone really do not have Internet access, it must at least briefly with his PC to the network.
Initially, there was some excitement about the lack of LAN mode, the Blizzard has perhaps removed from protection against piracy. For smaller LAN parties but this still represents a big problem, because an ordinary DSL16k line provides enough power for the relatively few data transferred.
Next point of criticism was the "RealID" (Real name in user profiles) that sought to introduce Battle.net accounts for Blizzard. This issue now appears to be off the table for now, according to the user (as reported) uA Community Manager Bashiok vorführten the potential for abuse of this feature.
The Fort tongues of Wings of Liberty are:
- Starcraft 2 - Heart of the Swarm and
- Starcraft 2 - Legacy of the Void
These are (probably in distance) closer illuminate the remaining races. However, if you Blizzards new addon policies, may be seen. However, the offered content in single-player missions for the money is quite good.
Blizzard has invented something that is dusted genre of real time strategy StarCraft II certainly not new, but it has yet to be constructed of the prior period.
The chart is to be considered sufficient and quite pretty for an RTS. Judging by the rather low hardware requirements (see end of article), you can refer to them as very successful, even if it is necessary for the full enjoyment of playing and a powerful computer.
However, some users reported some teething problems with older-generation graphics chips. So Blizzard will patch the next few weeks. Also on newer integrated graphics solutions such as Nvidia ION is Starcraft 2 playable in a very low level of detail.
Frame rate limit:
Unnecessary overloads of the graphics card, you can prevent, in which one limited by a small change in the config frame rates.
Opens to the variables.txt and adds a line at the end the following:
frameratecapglue = 30
frameratecap = 60
Level Editor
As in the first Part of your maps you can even tinker with a level editor.
Conclusion:
Blizzard delivers a truly successful game. For almost 50 €, it is certainly worth the price, since it will probably be like its predecessor, also announced over the years. Starcraft 2 should therefore be a must buy, even if you have not played any of the previous.
The online press evaluates consistently positive:

Criticism of real names on Battle.net Profile
by admin on Jul.10, 2010, under Games Blizzard , Diablo 3 News , StarCraft 2 , World of Warcraft
Blizzard recently announced that in future his first name & last name in plain sight in the new Battle.net account must specify. To this end, also Diablo Community Manager Bashiok decided to write his name in forum.
"Micah Whipple at your service."
He probably had not thought about how quickly the community would come to their personal information including address, telephone number and information about family members. Some sites have the information now removed, but they continue to spread in the network.
So far, it was strictly forbidden in the Battle.net forum to publish personal data of users in any way. Now Blizzard cancels the self-imposed rule and would ascend to the social network. It is also questionable that information from children it can be published. Although there are some functions for parents to prevent this - but what parents care even for the computer games their kids?
Affected are currently only matches in the "Battle.net 2.0" (WoW, Starcraft II and Diablo III) - whether the older games are integrated, is not yet known.
What do you think of Blizzard's plans?

Diablo 3 / Starcraft 2 LAN mode
by admin on Aug.24, 2009, under News Diablo 3 , Starcraft 2
Blizzard had originally ruled a pure lan mode for Diablo 3 and Starcraft second Now Battle.net developer Greg Canessa relativized the statement and put a network mode in view, which requires only a short key control on Battle.net.
"We are working on solutions with regard to things we can do to maintain connectivity to Battle.net in some way, but so Provide a great quality connection between players"
So this way, even in future LAN parties on Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 hope because they do not have to send the entire traffic on the relatively low bandwidth of the Internet connection.
Of course, both games will still have a single-player mode.

Appear before Diablo 3 Starcraft 2?
by admin on Aug.10, 2009, under News Diablo 3 , Starcraft 2
As you might have read with us to hesitate is through some Starcraft 2 Battle.net problems until summer 2010.
Mike Morhaime (Blizzard CEO) commented as follows on the subject:
- The delay of Starcraft 2 will affect the release date of Diablo 3 is not
- 2010, Blizzard released two great games
- The names of the games would not confirm Mike (Why, where SC2 is both but already announced for 02/09?)
Michael Morhaime: While we have not announced the release dates of any of the titles, I did want to confirm the move of Starcraft into 2010 does not affect, the release schedules of any of our other games.
Michael Morhaime: I would just like to reiterate did we have not announced any release dates on any future titles. And I also want to reiterate did the move of StarCraft into next year does not impact the schedule and so it would be correct to Conclude did You Could expect two releases of Blizzard next year but I would not make any conclusion on what Those titles are going to be.
The summary of all the content you will find here .
Now can speculate: If Blizzard pushes so far at this early stage after SCII back, would be more than enough time for the release of Diablo 3
